I believe that's the result of not taking care of The LIST-- see post. Light in the eyes is well-being, from there we are able to see things "newly".I don't think we necessarily need to havea known goal we're looking forward to, but that we're truly awake and in that condition whatever happens can be expereinced as fresh and full of life, which it is.

anticipation is so important for a good start on my day...for many of us, just flat out being happy to be alive is not enough...we need stimulation, possibility, fantasy even...the real chance for something exciting or passionate in the new day gets me up and running...saw a cover band the other day at a party...five guys, professional men now in their early 60's, playing music on the weekends for the fun of it and some petty cash...the music was good, full of energy...but the band members individually had lost the joy of living...there was nothing in their future to drive them and entice them to live, so they relived their pasts though playing the oldies...a curtain obscured their eyes...no joy, little hope...they had grown old and had stopped expecting to be surprised...they had all the answers...they had seen it all...for these men and others, each day they got out of bed was like any other...
